Safe Space - Crash Pad 
Our Emergency Crash Pad Facility is a safe space for young people who have experienced housing crisis. It is provided for a limited time
while Council Officers investigate and assess your situation. We provide support to deal with immediate health and welfare concerns, we will work together with you, with council staff and other agencies to help you identify alternative accommodation or negotiate a return home with mediation.
Safe Space must be accessed via a referral from Northumberland Homeslessness Team. Phone Northumberland County Council 0845 600 6400 ask to speak to a Homelessness Officer and request a Homelessness Assessment - If you are under 18 you will also be referred to Social Services for a "Child in Need Assessment" .
If you are in crisis request an assessment this is your right. Filling in a Homefinder Application or being given list of housing providers may be beneficial but does not fulfill the councils duty unless you have been assessed. Alternatively if you are in housing crisis please ring for advice.
