Thank you to Morpeth Town Council who are funding theses activities. These activities are always oversubscribed, can we ask that you only book on 1 session, if spaces don’t get filled we will open them up to those who have already booked.

Adventure Days at The Riverside

Tuesday 21st & 28th July, 11th and 18th August

Riverside – Behind the old Leisure centre, Newmarket, NE61 1PR, Northumberland, Morpeth

Activities will include, paddlesports on the river, bouldering at the Coliseum and orienteering in the park.

There are 24 places available on each day, the group will be split into two 12’s, and will do half a day on the water and half dry activities.

Check in will be at the Riverside at 9:30am, we will split the groups and take them to the relevant activities. We will aim to finish the day by 3:30pm.

Your child will need a packed lunch, clothes they don’t mind getting wet and a change of clothes, footwear must be worn in the river.

Arts & Crafts at Barnabas HQ

Starting Thursday 23rd July

Barnabas, Wellwood House, Dark Lane, Morpeth, NE61 1SU

Four different sessions to bring out your creative side, at Barnabas HQ from 1pm – 3pm

  • Thursday 23rd July – Design your own boardgame
  • Thursday 30th July – Make your own puppet
  • Thursday 13th August – Steam challenge – make your own powered vehicle
  • Thursday 20th August – Comic book design and creation

Bowling Buddies at Carlisle Park

Friday 24th July and Wednesday 12th August

Carlisle Park – Pavillion, Morpeth, Northumberland, NE61 1YD

Lots of fun activities to try that are focussed around bowls. Taking place on one of the bowling greens in Carlise park. Meet at the Pavillion at 1pm. Age: 9 – 16

Join our youth workers and get taste of what we do on a weekly basis

Friday 31st July – Morpeth Town Trail and Pizzas, meet at Barnabas HQ at 1pm

Friday 14th August – Morpeth Olympics meet at the MUGA at 1pm

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for our British weather.

Yoga at Sanderson Arcade

Yoga Den, Sanderson Arcade, Morpeth, NE61 1NS

This is a great opportunity to try out Yoga.

Aimed at beginners aged 9-16, however anyone can sign up, Christie will take the group through a gentle class ending with sound and relaxation.

Crazy Golf at Morpeth Family Golf Centre

Meet at Barnabas HQ at 1pm, we have a bus that will take the group to the golf centre, to play full 18 holes of crazy golf, we will return to Barnabas for 3pm.

Please ensure your child is appropriately dressed for the British summer weather.

Northumberland Network Trips
Bamburgh to Seahouses

Thursday 6th August, 9am

Meet at Barnabas, Wellwood House, Dark Lane, Morpeth, NE61 1SU

Coastal Walk from Bamburgh to Seahouses

We will meet at Barnabas HQ at 9am to head to Bamburgh and take a leisurely stroll to Seahouses on the beach. There is an alternative accessible path that runs alongside the road, should anyone need to use it.

The boat trip around the Farne Islands will depart from Seahouses Harbour at 1.30pm and takes about an hour and a half. We have one of their small boats to ourselves, so will ensure that we are all together for the trip. We might be lucky and spot seals and the odd Orca!

Once back on dry land, we will have fish (or sausage) and chips before heading home for approx 6pm. Barnabas are required to pay a £10 deposit for this so please only book if you are sure your child can make it.

Northumberland Network Trips
Kielder Challenge

Kielder Challenge, at Chirdon Head Residential & Expedition Centre Kielder

Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project will be leading this event; a team of 8 colleagues delivering a carousel of activities and tasks.

We will need to leave Barnabas HQ at 8:30am to arrive at Tower Knowe car park for 9:30. You will need a packed lunch and wear clothing suitable for a day outdoors.

We will return to Morpeth for approx 6pm.

Any additional information and activity specific consent forms will be sent out once places are booked.
